Category talk:Magic Weapons

I consider this category to be unnecessary, as a Category:Magic items already exists for these purposes. This category would simply consist of the redirects to the faction:magic items pages and would soon swell to include hundreds of them, all of which would link to 1-2 sentence entries. Of course, it might be a more engaging way for the potential readers and might help to attract more viewers (and members), but I'm unconvinced. NTC3 12:47, 19 November 2011 (CET)

I disagree that this category is unnecessary. I believe what we should be doing is avoiding generic pages like faction:magic items as being the only reference to hundreds of items in the warhammer background, it doesn't feel like we are using the category feature to it's full extent. I've looked on the german whfb wiki and their category system is set out to concentrate on a much smaller range of items per category. Just putting everything into Magic items will either result in categories that never grow or change (containing only faction:magic items pages) or one category with hundreds of entries. By creating this I wanted to spread out the entries into a more absorbable form. If that would require breaking down by species later then that'll be the way it is later.--Alcadizaar 13:11, 19 November 2011 (CET)
