Nahmud the Dark Maiden is a mysterious figure in the history of the Goddess Myrmidia.[1]

Appearance

A noble, black skinned woman, her face so imperious and regal that many would drop to her knees when they saw it.[1]

History

She is spoken of seven times in the Bellona Myrmidia. In the Book of Transgression, she was rescued from Iscarius by Myrmidia and in gratitude warned her of an ambush ahead, allowing Myrmidia to flank her enemies and defeat them in the Massacre of the Three Gorges. This would prove to be the turning point in the campaign of the goddess.[1]

Nahmud then journeyed into the mountains to live the life of a stranger in a very strange land.[1]

She has become widely revered in the Cult of Myrmidia with three entire Knightly Orders taking her as their patron and two monastic orders following her reclusive ways.[1]

She has become a motif for loss, mystery and nobility in art and poetry throughout the Old World.[1]

Followers

  • The Hermitic Order of Nahmud's Peace: Founded in 1772 IC by Leoric Monpelitti in the Appucini Mountains after he found a lost testament of Nahmud. His founding monastery, the Eremitaggio di Nahmud, the Hermitage of Nahmud quickly attracted many Myrmidian scholars. After 2132 IC it expanded into the other city states of Tilea.[1]

Quotes

I am Nahmud, Princess of my people, and far from home. You bore weapons and saved me, so, I pray thee, believe my words: When I was captive of Iscarius, I listened to his schemes, and I know you to be deceived.

~ Nahmud to Myrmidia.[1]
