A Gate Master are leaders of the Jade Warriors, the professional soldiers of Grand Cathay. [1]
A Jade Warrior is able to earn the title of Gate Master by serving in the defence of their city with most being veterans of many wars. A Gate Master is specially trained in defensive warfare and reading the lay of the land before a battle which can be especially useful to enact the will of a Lord Magistrate. [1]
