Blood Bowl (2016 Edition) was published by Games Workshop in 2016. This was the first official Blood Bowl release by Games Workshop since the fourth edition of the game in 2002. As with previous editions of the game, this edition was released as a boxed set containing everything required to start playing, including two full teams, a rulebook, cardboard pitch and game accessories.[1]

- 32 cards including 20 Special Play cards, 4 Star Player cards and 8 Player Reference cards[1]

Supplements
This edition received a number of supplements, including Death Zone Season 1 and Season 2 and the first 11 issues of the irregular Spike! Journal magazine. This edition also saw the introduction of the Blood Bowl Almanac series with the release of The Inaugural Blood Bowl Almanac, followed by Blood Bowl Almanac 2018 and Blood Bowl Almanac 2019 in subsequent years.
