Estelle la Veneaux
Estelle la Veneaux, the Baroness of Bayou is a Amazon Star Player in Blood Bowl. [1]
Some consider her an embodiment of the Amazon Goddess Rigg. [2a]
History
She first came to the attention of the Blood Bowl community during a match between the Kara Temple Harpies and the Rotten Rabble in 2493 IC. Enraged by the effect on local fauna and flora by the worshippers of Nurgle, she stormed onto the pitch flinging curses, hexes and jinxes at everyone associated with the Rabble. [2a]
The Harpies Head Coach managed to convince her to join the team by explaining that she could unleash her wrath on many intruding visitors - who were often blood bowl teams and their supporters. After consulting her council of tree frogs, she agreed to play for them on occasion and as long as it did not interfere with her greater purpose - to protect Lustria. [2a]
Her subsequent appearances were limited to times when the opposition had done anything to insult the natural world, she especially dislikes Halflings and Ogres and anything that has a pre-game barbeque! After a game she always returns to her shack in the Bayou and has no interest in fame and fortune. [2a]
In 2495 IC Theodore Hogcaller, a Halfling Hefty disappeared after asking her where to get one of the delicious looking frogs. She was later seen with a orange tree frog she called Piggy. An unusually eloquent interview with her is published by Coven and Cauldron Magazine where she speaks of being an inspiration to younger players. [2a]
