The Elfheim Eagles are a famous Elf Blood Bowl team, widely considered to be one of the best passing teams in the history of the game. [1]
History
In 2480 IC they defeated Nurgle's Rotters 3-2 to win Blood Bowl XX.[1] Following their victory, Kalgan Lannersann joined as the team's new coach where they instituted a revised tactics and training program.[3a]
Playing against the Eagles in 2483 IC, Gragath Sanson of the Chaos All Stars managed to reach the pitch with eight magical items but never left. Flying down the pitch, he was struck by a volley of lightning bolts from a spellcaster employed by the Eagles which resulted in a series of explosions which transformed or killed a number of spectators and cheerleaders. The body of the player slipped beneath the pitch as he was rendered insubstantial by his magical jacket.[5a]
Cheerleaders
The team is formed of some of the most talented wardancers and blade maidens of the collected Elven nations, they give a whole new and deadly meaning to the term ‘dance off’. So impressive are their acrobatic antics that Jim and Bob once famously spent an entire game commenting on their routines, only afterwards realising that the Eagles had won the game 9-0![2]
