Blood Bowl Player Positions are the roles and distinctions for different players within a Blood Bowl team. [1]
Big Guys
A term used by fans to identify the larger players such as Ogres and Minotaurs. [1]
Standard Positionals
There are a number of positions or roles that are common to most teams. [1]
- Blitzer: They are used to force gaps in the oposition line and can target key players of the opposing team. [1]
- Blocker: The more physical teams often rely on these defensive players. [1]
- Catcher: As its name suggests, they have the job to receive passess safely. [1]
- Lineman: They form the backbone of any team. [1]
- Runner: They rely on their speed and agility and used by some teams in place of Throwers and Catchers. [1]
- Thrower: Not just responsible for throwing passes, many also act as offensive captains to call the plays and make decisions. [1]
Special Players
Many teams have players that fulfill very specific roles such as Assassins. [1]
