In 1999 IC the empress and her husband vanished, leading to the Time of Darkness and Disharmony when their children fight amongst themselves and the Monkey King becomes Emperor. [2]
The Emperor and Empress return in 2380 IC and cast down the Monkey King. [2]

Quay-Yin has ensured that women are part of the military of Cathay, focussing on missile weapons. [3]

She uses the Onyx Crowmen to act against the cults of Chaos, especially Tzeentch. [3]
Yueyin
Known in the west as Mannslieb, some stories of the Empress say that she is the last of a race that once dwelt on its cold white continents and that she took the form of a Dragon to travel down to the world. She then taught her children how to shapeshift. [5]
