Valkyrie
The Valkyries are female warriors of Norsca.[1a]
Although the Norse have customs and traditions which dictate the gender role of men and women - in general men do the hunting and fighting whilst women run the household and bring up the next generation. This may include running whole estates of farms and hunting lodges.[1a]
If these settlements are attacked, Norse women are perfectly capable of defending themselves and are often as skilled as their menfolk. However once they have fought, they may become restless and seek out battle which can lead to them leaving their home to join other shield maidens. [1a] Despite being nomads and outcasts they are respected by Thains of the clans as swift and deadly warriors.[1b]
Weapons and Equipment
They are highly skilled fighters and especially with their shields.[1a]
