Fort Bergbres
Fort Bergbres is a castle as well as a rest station and supply post. [1]
It is carefully situated between the Grey Mountains and the Pale Sisters in the Ois Gap, guarding a bridge over the river. [1]
Those looking to cross the Bitter Moors or refitting after crossing it stop here as it serves as a rest station and supply post. Roadwardens and Excise men are supposed to guard against smugglers and protect travellers against the dangers waiting in the hills but infamously require donations of guilders or Bretonnian gold sous to get anything done which means it is often referred to as Fort Beg-Bribe. [1]
History
Previously an Imperial Castle, it is now owned and run jointly by the Marienburg Directorate and the Duc du Gisoreux. [1]
Population
Just over 200 people live at the Castle.[1a]
