Wythel

Wythel are magical trees, especially valued by the Wood Elves of Athel Loren.[1]
The elves use their bark and resin from the trees pine cones as food and their wood makes some of the best bows. The trees and the magical energy that flowed through them could also be as warning beacons. [1]
History
The magical Wythel trees alerted their Keepers to a Skaven tunnel approaching and when the ratmen arrived they were swiftly dispatched. However, only a week later the trees began to sicken and nothing the Keepers tried was able cure them. Then all the Keepers were found in their home, slaughtered by the Skaven Assassin Skreek Tailblade. [1]
