Forest Dragon
Forest Dragons are Dragons adapted to life within the densely forested Chasm Glades in Athel Loren. [1b]
They are not only coloured a mottled green colour but no longer eat meat, instead using their huge fangs to saw off branches and roots of the vast trees in their domain. They can also belch corrosive fumes rather than fire. [1b]
Should part of Athel Loren be threatened by a enemy too powerful for the Forest Spirits to handle, it may instead awaken one or even more than one hibernating Dragons. Dragons may also be persuaded to serve as a steed for a Glade Lord, provided it was not disturbed from an especially interesting dream! [2]

History
After losing battles against other more agile and savage Dragon, a number of Dragons retreated from the high peaks of the mountains down to the Glades which can only be reached by those creatures that can fly. There they made their nests safe from enemies such as Dwarf Dragonslayers, Questing Knights and other predators. [1b]
Occasionally a Wood Elf Mage will persuade one to assist in the defence of the forest beyond the chasm [1b] or a thousand year egg will be found and heated enough to hatch it, the hatchling has then to nurtured for several centuries. [1a]
