Hagh
Status | Active |
Type | Provincial deity |
Affiliation | Vedenza Tobaro Tilea |
Hagh is a god worshiped in the Tilean city-state Vedenza, a city under the influence of the Principality of Tobaro.[1][2] He may embody darker concepts, as when Orsini Sardus opened his Of the Late War, an account of The War of Beasts, he did so by invoking the “light of blessed Myrmidia” as well as “the shadow of chill Hagh.”[1]
Notes
The context for the passage reveals the deity’s name as “Hagh” and “the shadow of chill Hagh” as the full invocation, similar to “the blessed light of Myrmidia” for the goddess Myrmidia.
It seems plausible that the word "Hagh" on page 5 of Monstrous Arcanum is a typographical error and should indeed be "Hag." This interpretation aligns with the Italian (Tilean) term "Strega," which means "hag" and fits the context of the story in the book, particularly if referring to the leader of the Morrite cult of the Motiara, called in fact, Strega of the Bone Hills.
