History

Lumpin was born in northern Moot, his father a itinerant carrot salesma and his mother the daughter of a blacksmith although his father died choking to death on a horseshoe before he was born. His grandparents disliked him as a reminder of their child's unwise liasion and as soon as he was able he ran away from home. [1]

Having already become skilled at pick-pocketing he became a poacher much to the annoyance of local gamekeepers. One day whilst visiting the Old Pig and Bucket in the village of Beggar's Ford he found himself face to face with a group of cudgel armed gamekeepers. He managed to spin them a tale of excitement, treasure and most important banquets that were for the taking over the mountains in Tilea and after many drinks - Lumpin Croop's Fighting Cocks were born. [2]

Since then he has been trying to give his companions the slip but as they are all skilled woodsmen, they have always caught up with on what he subsequently describes as Training Exercises. As excellent archers and scouts, there services have become much in demand. [1]
