King Sekhef proceeded King Wakhaf in the rulership of Nehekhara, in the name of the Tomb Kings of Khemri.[1]
He caused much discord among the priests, who were by now undying and probably mostly rotting carcasses. This strife was the beginning of the end for the longest dynasty of the kings of Khemri, the first dynasty.[1]
He was followed by King Nekhesh, when strife ran free.[1]
