Elthanir

Elthanir was one of seven Khainite Assassins sent by Morathi to kill Imrik at the beginning of the Sundering. [1a]

By the time of his final mission, his only pleasure came from the infliction of pain and the act of killing. [1c]

Appearance

Like his compatriots, he had a pinched face and tight muscles with blood staining his skin whilst tiny runes and skulls hung from various piercings. [1a]

History

Summoned before Morathi, she was asked how they would find their prey in the Annulii Mountains and in response she cast a spell that gave them pain that would only lesson as they drew closer to Imrik. [1a] As he sought out Imrik in the mountains, he tortured the family of a woodcutter for information using a heated blade and ignoring the fact he was also being burnt. [1b]

Finally locating the camp of his target, he fired a poisoned arrow at him but Imrik saw it coming and cut it from the air. The lion that had warned him then charged into the trees and attacked Elthanir, suffering wounds even as it tore his hand off. Imrik, Koradrel and his hunters slew all of the Assassins. [1c]

Weapons and Equipment

To a sorceress like Morathi, Dark Magic pulsed from vials of carried poison and runic jewelry as well as dripping from his blades. [1a] He also used a recurved short bow with arrows tipped in Black Lotus. [1c]
