Illeanith
Illeanith was a renegade High Elf Mage during the Sundering [1]
Family
She was the only daughter of the ruling Mage-Prince Thyriol of Saphery and Miranith. [1]
Her eldest son was Anamedion. [1]
History
She grew estranged from her father as he spend more and more time in the mystical realm and was concerned that he was overly protective of her son. [1]
Like her son, she was drawn to the use of Dark Magic forming a secret coterie together but unlike him, when they were discovered she fled from her father's wrath. Anamedion died in the ensuring confrontation. [1]
Whilst practicing her dark magic in a citadel on the forested slope of Anul Tinrainnith, she and her coven were attacked by her father and his mages on Saphethion. Although she had counter spells to protect herself against the power of the floating city, eventually her defences were overwhelmed and she used her magic to flee to Nagarythe. [2a]
She was one of twelve sorceresses and wizards summoned by Malekith after his defeat at the Battle of Maledor where he revealed his plan to break the Great Vortex and unleash an army of Daemons on his enemies. [2b] As she aided Morathi and Malekith in their attempt to use Dark Magic to control and disrupt the Vortex, her part of the ritual was disrupted and Illeanith was attacked and devoured, body and soul, by Daemons. [2c]
