Following the Massacre at the Shrine of Asuryan he began to forge a mighty suit of armour and send enchanted weapons to the Druchii, diverting arms shipments intended for the other kingdoms. [3b]
In -2739 IC, Caledor I came to Vaul's Anvil to investigate why armaments were not reaching the other kingdoms - when confronted Hotek used the Hammer of Vaul to briefly incapacitate the king and Prince Dorien long enough for him to escape and flee to join Malekith in Anlec. [2a][3b]
In the service of the Witch King, he forged the mighty rune etched armour he still wears as well as many other powerful artefacts. [1a]
Concerned that he might be killed on a whim of his fickle master, he created a armoury of defences to safeguard his body and soul. [1a]
It was however Morathi who had him poisoned, and following his death scattered the artefacts including the powerful Ring that bears his name which is a potent defence against sorcery. [1a]
Quotes
