Daerlythe
Daerlythe or Burning Fury is a male War Hydra .[1]
History
He was one of nine War Hydras that the Beastmaster Rakarth gathered to attack the elves of Ulthuan and with such a mighty force, he predicted a swift victory. However three elf wizards proved too powerful destroying most of the Hydra with their Magic with only Daerlythe surviving the retreat. [1]
Vowing never to be defeated by the sorcery of his foes, Rakarth formed a pact with Morathi who carved malign Runes into the flesh of the Hydra, bathing it in dark energy and opening rents in its hide. [1]
When the hydra fought again in battle he proved to be physically weaker but strongly resistant to Magic. Rakarth retired him from the line of battle to breed more of his kind, although only one in ten of his offspring, known as Spellthirsters or Rakarth's Vendetta would have his abilities. Now linked to the Convents, at least one Sorceress is always present when they go to war. [1]
