Koradrel was a High Elf Prince, the cousin of Prince Charill of Chrace[1a] and later the ruling prince of that realm during the Sundering. [1d]

History

Following the victory of Malekith at the first Siege of Anlec, he became friends with Prince Imrik of Caledor during a summer hunting of monsters in the Annulii Mountains - both being quiet, taciturn elves. [1a]

He had invited Imrik once more for a hunt when word came that Malekith had once more been deposed, but Imrik traveled to join him rather than attend the council meeting on the Isle of the Flame.[1b] They led a large hunting party into the snowy forests of Anul Sarian - it consisted of the two princes, four guides and fourteen retainers with even a small repeater bolt-thrower mounted on a sled. [1c]

The climax of their hunt was finding the lair of a Manticore, losing the scout Anachius to its claws almost immediately but it was eventually slain after a hard fight. [1c] As they were returning to Tor Achare, they spotted a column of smoke rising from the forest and dispatched a scout to investigate but that evening their camp was attacked by Khainite Assassins. Koradrel and the other hunters as well as a great White Lion defended Imrik, killing four of the attackers swiftly but eight hunters fell in the battle before all were killed. [1d]

Civil War

Shortly after, Carathril the herald of the Phoenix King arrived in the camp bringing news of the Massacre at the Shrine of Asuryan and the death of Carathril as well Koradrel's nephew. The herald also brought Achillar and the banner of Chrace, confirming Koradrel as the new ruling prince of his realm. At the same time, Imrik was named as the newly elected Phoenix King and when he was asked what would happen next, he said one word - War. [1d]

He went south with Imrik to the Isle of the Flame, accompanied by several hundred Characians who he named as the White Lions of Chrace and his bodyguards after their brave fight against the assassins as de did not trust any others with the role of protecting him. [1e]

Koradrel fought for Caledor I for the rest of his life - whilst resting with the king and his nephews in Saphery he was poisoned and then stabbed in the eye by an assassin. [1f]
