Septhah the Amaranthine is a Tomb King and later a general in service to Great King Settra the Imperishable. [1]

History

In 2276 IC, Bretonnian Baron Carrard of Quenelles crusaded into Nehekhara and attempted to prevent the ressurrection of King Septhah the Amaranthine. Their quest failed and Baron Carrard was slain by King Septah personally. Yet when King Septah pursued the last knights into the Badlands, the undead king was in turn slain by the Bretonnians blessed by the Lady at the highlands next to the Black Gulf.[2]

Losing such valued commander enraged Great King Settra the Imperishable. He ordered retribution towards the Bretonnians and invaded the Border Princes to go throught them.[2] Great King Settra also who dispatched elements of the Mortuary Cult to recover the body of King Septhah and raise his spirit again from the Underworld. [1]

Hierophant Ashurtak led his forces into the Dragonback Mountains where they found the remains of Septhah's army but there was no sign of the king himself. Continuing the search, Ashurtak suspected that the Asur of the tower of Tor Anork may have played some part and so marched on the elf fortress to determine the truth. [1]

Although the Elves claimed that they knew nothing of the king’s fate or the location of his body, the forces of the Cult joined by those of Prince Apophas sacked the tower. However again, no trace of the king could be found. [1]

Ashurtak marched on towards Barak Varr and the Citadel of Myrmidia, destroying all in his path until finally he and his army was confronted by a horde of Orcs & Goblins. Much to the Hierophants surprise, the Orc Warboss had the body of the missing king as part of the huge trophy rack strapped on his back. After the orc refused to return the body, Clash on the Zandri Road began.[1]
