Aquitaine is the largest town in Dukedom of Artois. [1a]
It is located near the old border between Mousillon and Lyonesse in the southwestern part of the Dukedom. [1a]
Unusually for Bretonnia, it is a pleasent place to live with paved streets, an effective city watch and sewer system. Scholars and enteratainers are welcomed but anyone who is incompetant, lazy or criminal are deported. If the population grows beyond the point of the economy, the poorest are also rounded up and exiled. [1a]
Government
The town is ruled by Earl Larret, a cultured noble and masterful politician. [1a]
