Winter King
The Winter King was a Champion of Khorne. [1a]
History
He led a warband of Chaos Warriors and Beastmen which attacked a wagon train moving from Talabheim to Kislev, killing most of the Imperial defenders before a wizard intervened. However he and his followers were still too strong and so the survivors fled from his wrath, but he called upon the Blood God and summoned Daemonic hounds to pursue them. [1a]
The wizard guided the survivors to a ancient stone ring to make a stand, but soon all but the mage were slain - alone, the wizard used the magics of the stones and took on the form of a great bear. [1a] Raging, he fought on and although badly wounded drove off the Winter King and his followers. [1b]
As the Khornate champion retreated, he vowed that the battle would continue in death and beyond.... [1b]
