Grindan Deeplock
Grindan Deeplock was a Dwarf Engineer from Zhufbar in the time of Sigmar. [1a]
History
Grindan was tasked with transporting the Barag - Thunder Bringer back to Zhufbar from the Grey Mountains. [1b]
His caravan was attacked by Goblin Wolf Riders and he was the only survivor but was mortally wounded by the time Cuthwin drove off the remaining attackers. [1a] The human scout managed to get him to Reikdorf where he was treated by the healer Elswyth but was too badly wounded to survive. Before he died, he pledged that Cuthwin would become Umgilok - a man worthy of praise if he told his tale to his clan. [1b]
He also extracted a oath from Sigmar that he would recover the Barag which they hd buried to avoid it being found by the Goblins. He died, satisfied with the Emperor's words. [1b]
