Putrid Pit

Putrid Pit is a Skaven settlement-burrow beneath the Grey Mountains [1b]
It has a rich vein of Warpstone. [1a]
Although previously controlled by Clan Skryre [1a] it was taken over by Clan Pestilens. [1c]
History
In the fourth century of the Second Skaven Civil War, the settlement was under the control of Warlock Klawmunkast who needed the warpstone to power his creations. Morbus Sanguis of Clan Pestilens sought to wrestle control of the mines from the Warlock however, needing the warpstone for his own experiments with the Yellow Death resulting in the Battle of Putrid Pit. Despite Klawmunkast fielding his Rat Tank, Morbus was successful in his coup. [1c]
