He was a Grey Seer before he became a Verminlord. [1b]
End Times
In 2523 IC, he was the patron of the Grey Seer Kranskritt and guided him when the seer was dispatched to aid Queek Headtaker in taking Karak Eight Peaks but confirmed that he would only remain so if Kranskritt ceased his effort to bind him. [1a] As Queek began his attack on the Dawi, Soothnawer told Kranskritt to seek out Skarsnik and make him an offer. [1b]
As he and his pawn watched the Battle of the Hall of Skalfdon, they were surprised by Lurklox, a Verminlord Deceiver who demanded to know why they were sabotaging the plans of his own pawn. Although Soothgnawer considered blasting his rival Daemon he instead told him that it was part of his plan to help the Seers regain their seat on the Council of Thirteen. At the same time, he knew he would have to reconsider his plans now he knew that Queek had his own Verminlord patron. [1c]
He and Kranskritt joined the battle in the ruined hall at a critical moment, arriving in a geyser of fire which killed hundreds of greenskins. They then began to kill the Dwarfs and Greenskins before Belegar signaled for the explosives to be fired which brought down the main structural pillars of the hall. {Fn|1c}}
