Aldrik the Scarred is a Dwarf Slayer[1a]
History
End Times
In 2523 IC he was part of the force defending Karak Eight Peaks against the Skaven. After a two day long feast, he and other Slayers emerged from the citadel to try and distract the ratmen and allow the Dwarfs to reform their army and prepare for the next major onslaught. Although many died swiftly, he continued his path of destruction - heading into the depths in pursuit of a good death. [1a]
Wounded but still defiant, he continued on his quest, fighting and killing as he moved through the underdark, facing larger and more potent foes, but none who were able to give him a good death. Finally he was nearly killed by a Warp-lightning Cannon but instead plunged down even deeper as the floor he had been standing on collapsed. He limped on....[1b]
He discovered a vast breeding warren full of the huge fecund brood-mothers of the Skaven, the bloated creatures tended by slaves and warlocks. Aldrik did not hesitate but instead began to kill, slaughtering the few defenders in the area and then butchering the rat-mothers. However, once he had concluded the grisly task, he moved into the next cavern only to find the same and it was clear that there were many, many caverns beyond that one. [1b]
Although he had accepted his doom, he determined that he must tell the king of what lurked below him, the vast resources that would be set against the Dawi. For several weeks he traveled, seeking a way back to the Citadel, killing creatures that lingered in the dark places but finally he neared his goal. Sadly it was at this point he was killed by stabbed from behind by a venomblade and died, failing to deliver his warning and dying an ignoble death. [1b]
