Dorin Heldour
Dorin Heldour was a legendary Dwarf hero who adventured with Katalin Kandoom between 1-742 IC. [1a]
History
They were both veterans of the expeditions in search of Gromril that Thori Gundrikson led to the Black Water. [1a]
With the blessings of their clan elders they travelled to the lost hold of Ekrund where they recovered the Heartstone of Aldin Getgold, its greatest treasure. They then fought their way clear and presented the stone to the High King Finn Sourscowl [1a]
When the sons of the High King were captured and imprisoned in the dungeons of Black Crag, Sourscowl called upon them to rescue them before they were sent back to him in pieces. They managed to sneak their way into the dungeons where they found both Elmador and Oldor, both barely alive. The guards were dispatched and they headed for the surface knowing that pursuit would quickly follow. Katalin had however created subtle weaknesses in the tunnels and nine times he triggered a collapse to forestall the orcs. [1a]
Returning to the High King they were named champions and each received a tenth of his wealth. [1a]
