Nautilus
A Nautilus is a experimental class of submarine of the Dwarf Navy. [1a]
Dwarfs can volunteer for duty on a Nautilus as an alternative to becoming a Slayer as casualties are so high. [1a]
History
Mungrun Steelhammer, formerly an apprentice to the legendary Hengist Cragbrow built the first Nautilus. [2a]
He accompanied an expedition by Estalian privateers to Lustria in one of his submersibles, hoping to explore the sunked city of Chupayotl. His charts were able to direct the fleet to its location but only one Dwarf survived to return, rescued thirty years later from an Arabyan galley. All he would speak off was webbed claws and great, black eyes. [2a]
