Hixa

The Hixa is a large wingless wasp. [1a]
Remedy
In ancient Lahmia it was used as a potent cure for hangovers and the effects of wine and black lotus. The torpid wasp was gripped and pressed against the hollow beneath the left ear until it stung—the resulting pain quickly clears the mind and becomes a dull, throbbing ache. When not being used, the wasp can be kept in a box. [1a]
