Drogo Le Mal
Drogo Le Mal was the name given to a Dragon who plagued the domain of Beaumarchais and nearby regions in Bretonnia. [1a]
Its lair was in crags within the heathland that bordered Athel Loren. [2]
History
The Dragon was greatly feared by the peasentry as it often flew over fields and villages and plucked milkmaids and ploughmen from them to eat. A number of Knights Errant rode out to face him but all were slain. [1a][2]
The Lady Isabelle of Beaumarchais set her brother Agravain and her lover Jacques the quest of bringing her the head of the Dragon in order to decide who would rule the domain. Both accepted the task and rode out to face the beast. [1a][2]
They discovered the lair of the Dragon and as it descended out of the mist charged it, taking it completely by surprise. As Drogo opened his mouth to breath fire on them, Agravain thrust his lance into its gullet whilst Jaques impaled its heart with his lance, killing it almost instantly. [1a]
