Sand Clam

Sand Clams are large aquatic carnivores.[1]
Some specimens can reach 6 feet in width.[1]
Nature
They live in wet sand near the tidal margin and prey on unwary seabirds and seals that pass over it. Smaller creatures are crushed to death whilst larger ones are held until the tide drowns them.[1]
