Theralind's Brood

Theralind's Brood is the name given to sea monsters found near the port city of L'Anguille. [1a]
When they attack boats of ships they leap out of the water and can survive up to half an hour on land. [1a]
Appearance
Although serpent-like, they have the heads of scaly horses with fangs and a pair of clawed arms. [1a]
History
Legends claim that Theralind, the beloved of Corduin was transformed into a sea-monster by a jealous hag. Despite her new form, her natural virture won through and she continues to guard the port city of her love. [1a]
Her so-called brood also do not attack the port or shipping in the channel leading to it but otherwise seem to lack their mother's virtue. [1a]
