Lashworm

Lashworms are small carnivores that lurk within small holes in trees, stone, walls etc. [1][2]
Nature
They disguise their lair with bits of moss or similar debris so that only their hair-like trigger us visible. Should it detect something within 5 yards it will unleash its saw-edged organ, also known as a lash, tearing off a strip of flesh to devour. [1][2]
