Malachias von Carstein is a Vampire noble of the Von Carstein Dynasty. [1a]

History

After the comet destroyed Mordheim, he entered the ruins to search for Warpstone, supposedly to aid his cousin and lord, Vlad von Carstein but secretly hoping to emass enough to raise his own undead horde and seize power in Sylvania. [1a]

His hidden crypt was sought out by the priest of Morr Vorgan Corpsehand who was on his own mission to destroy the renegade high Priest of his order, Soloman Vantor. Seeing a potential threat if Vantor grew more powerful and a potential ally in Corpsehand, he joined the priest. [1a]

Various warbands confronted Vantor in the ruined temple of Morr, fighting each other as much as they fought the deranged priest. Malachias attacked him directly, but even his unatural powers were not enough to defeat him directly [2a] Borin Fatalismus then crashed through a surviving stained glass window, distracting Sololman, allowing Malachias to strike him down. As he crawled away, Borin called upon Morr and the former High Priest was severed from the mortal coil. [2a]
