Breeds
While some dogs are beloved pets, others are used for hunting or guard duty. Because of the varied nature of the species, each breed has its own purpose. They vary hugely in size from tiny pampered pooches to powerful animals bred for fighting and war. [1][3]
- Grootscher Marsh Hound:, also known as Westerlander, is a large, thick furred beast used for stalking waterfowl and even dive for fish. [4]
- Hochland Lockhunds: Tenacious badger hounds but who can be used for catching any small animal.[4]
- Nordlander Bamse: Medium size but affable hound, the breed is famed for its ability to hunt for many hours without flagging. [4]
- Hobhound: A vicious breed of fighting dog bred for warfare by the Hobgoblins. [2]
