History
He was very old when word came that Yvresse were being invaded by greenskins - he determined to try and slow them down at his home - the fortress of Athel Tamarha. Unfortunately most of his household troops were with his son fighting in the Shadowlands and the battle did not last long. [1][2b]
As the Greenskins charged into the keepm, Moranion confronted Grom in his chariot, shouting a challenge but after blocking his attack, the Goblin warlord smashed him unconsious with his mailed fist. [2b] He awoke to find himself displayed before Grom who sat on his throne, his cloak around his shoulders. [1] [2b]
Taunted by the gbolins, Moranion told them that his home was not in fact the city of Tor Yvresse but this only spurred Grom on. A group fo Elf Rangers attempted to rescue him from the camp that night but Grom, who did not sleep well, awakened and they were slaughtered, Moranion falling with two arrows in his back just short of the safety of the woods. [2b]
His ghost then travelled to where Eltharion lay himself dying and told his son to seek revenege and stop the scourge of Ulthuan, leaving the Fangsword where he could reach it. [2b]
