Caradryel
Caradryel the Peacemaker was the fourth Phoenix King of the High Elves and one of the few to die peacefully in bed. [1a]
He reigned from -1599 to -997 IC. [1a]
Unlike his predecessors he was not a great warrior or sorcerer but proved himself an able ruler. [1a]
History
At the fourth Council of Princes following the death in battle of Caledor II, he was chosen as the new Phoenix King. [1a]
He ordered a withdrawal from the conflict against the Dwarfs and a new Phoenix Crown forged, he informed his people that any who remained in the colonies would no longer be protected by the might of Ulthuan. [1a]
He appointed generals who brilliantly carried out a successful campaign against the Dark Elves who had taken the Blighted Isle and were besieging the Griffon Gate. He consolidated his forces in his homeland and although sporadic battle continued through his reign in the north of Ulthuan he would die peacefully in bed. [1a]
Decree of the Everqueen
During his reign, the Everqueen issued a proclamation seeking to prevent other High Elves interfering with other races. Despite many elves in modern times considering this obsolete, Alarielle maintains that her ancestors decree is still law. [2a]
