Maurenghir
Maurenghir was the captain of the of High Elf ship Anarian before and during during the War of the Beard. [1a]
History
For many years he led his crew fighting Dark Elf raiders and defending Ulthuan. [1b]
As his scouts discovered a Dwarf throng approaching his city, the warden of the city, Lord Kiarell father ordered the evacuation of the women and children on the various ships in the harbour, leaving only the Anarian and its crew to support the defence. At first the defence held fast, the initial assualt by the army of Morgrim Bargrum being repulsed but soon the city came under heavy bombardment. [1a]
As days passed, the eastern gatehouse began to crack under the pressure and Lord Kiarell led a sorte out to try and destroy the siege engines supported by the veteran sea guard of the ship. After they were defeated, Captain Maurenghir managed to retreat to his vessel with his warriors and Alarnil, Kiarell's badly wounded son. [1a][1b]
