The Hammer of Vaul is a mystic artefact of the Elf race that resided in the lands of Caledor and which had been used to forge weapons on behalf of Aenarion. During the Sundering, a priest of Vaul known as Hotek secretly forged weapons for Nagarythe. Upon his discovery, this renegade fled to Nagarythe where he worked alongside sorcerers to forge a suit of armour for the wounded Malekith using the Hammer of Vaul.[1]
