Reign of Bel Shanaar
His daughter was courted for several years by Alith Anar and he arranged for priestesses to divine their future. [1a]
Rebellion of Morathi
When the emissary of Morathi, Heliocran Haeithar brought warriors to force the compliance of the Anar's, he fought alongside his old allies, killing several of the intruders from Anlec. [1b] Soon after, word came that Malekith had returned and he met with the Anar's and their other other princes and nobles to discuss what to do. He was keen to march for in support of the returned prince, and although Alith was against it, he valued his courage and honesty in voicing his concerns. Eoloran Anar however decided that the Anar's and their allies would march to battle. [1c]
When several armies were found awaiting them but Caenthras pressed for them to continue to fight and they determined to do so, if only to distract their enemy from the forces of Malekith. [1d] They attacked the camp of the cultists as the more professional soldiers were distracted by Alith and his scouts, Caenthras standing beside Eoloran with a curled rams horn and loosing three blasts to awake their enemy. [1e]
During the battle, Eothlir Anar was nearly overwhelmed by the Herald of Khaine leading the cultists but Caenthras charged in and drove Khiratoth through the chest of the priest, blue fire erupting from the spear to rip the Elf apart. [1f] Following their victory, with the aid of Prince Aneltain and his cavalry, Eoloran ordered the retreat to Elanardris, having done what they could to aid Malekith. [1g]
Following the First Siege of Anlec and the surrender of Morathi, there was nearly than twenty years of peace. Caenthras and Ashniel visited Elanardis once more to attend the celebration of Alith Anar coming of age as a Prince of the Anar's and Nagarythe. Caenthras also announced the formal engagement of Alith to his daughter and that the marriage would take place in a years time. [1h]
However when he visited again in the last days of Autumn, things had changed and although he reaffirmed his loyalty of House Anar, he also confirmed it was second only to that which his House felt toward Nagarythe itself, especially since the Princes of the Anar were under house arrest, suspected of involvement with the Cults of Pleasure. To the anger of Alith, he further stated that Ashniel had been invited to Court at Anlec and would be journeying there for the winter where she could achieve so much more.... [1i]
The Sundering - Civil War in Ulthuan
Shortly after the Massacre at the Shrine of Asuryan, the bodies of the Phoenix King Bel Shanaar, his son and many other princes arrived at Tor Anroc and Caenthras came to the palace as the official embassy for Nagarythe. He pledged the support of his realm for Prince Yrianath as the new ruler of Tiranoc, receiving the seal of the princedom to enable safe passage through the realm. The two Princes agreed an alliance between the realms. [1j] Although he had hoped to become a powerful figure in the realms he swiftly realised he was little more than a puppet for Morathi.[1k]
Years later, whilst in Tor Anroc, he received reports that that the garrisons of the watchtowers at Eagle Pass and the fortress of Koril Atir had been slaughtered and many other units or camps had been attacked and wiped out. He gave an additional 10,000 warriors to Kherlanrin and ordered him to find the rebels and bring their heads back to him. [1k]
He met with a herald from Morathi, Heikhr who required a report on his progress on eliminating the rebels - she noted that his efforts were ....ongoing but he was tired to argue or write to the queen himself. As he left for his chambers, he was confronted by Alith Anar and killed with a single arrow from the Moonbow - his head and that of Yrianath were then mounted on spears at the gateway to the city. [1l]
Weapons and Equipment
He wielded the spear Khiratoth, the Ruinclaw. [1f]
