Family
Eoloran had a son, Eothlir Anar. Through him Eolaran was the grandfather of Alith Anar, the Shadow King.[1]
History
Coming of Chaos
He was the first to raise the Phoenix King's banner in honour of Phoenix King Aenarion the Defender [2b] but his wife died during the war against the Daemons. [3a] Like Caledor Dragontamer, Indraugnir and s the stories say, even the shade of Astarielle he warned Aenarion against drawing the Sword of Khaine.[4]
Reign of Bel Shanaar
In the aftermath of the defeat of the Chaos incursions, he was granted the lands of eastern Nagarythe to rule by Prince Malekith, the son of Aenarion.[3a]
Eoloran dispatched his son, Eothlir Anar to fight in the colonies so that he would understand war and although he would answer the call of his own nobles, he became more and more reclusive. [3a]
Rebellion of Morathi
As Morathi asserted control over Anlec, she also isolated the Anar's from the rest of Nagarythe and Eoloran forbade his family from visiting the Queen's city. [3a]
When news came of the return of Malekith, he gathered a council of all his loyal Princes and nobles to discuss marching to his aid - after some debate he ordered that his House and their allies march to Ealith and to the aid of the heir of Aenarion. [3b]
The Sundering
Later, after Malekith's rebellion and the death of Phoenix King Bel-Shanaar, Eoloran was captured by Morathi's cultists and was thought to have been taken to the dungeons of Anlec, never to be seen again.[1] However in -2738 IC, Alith infiltrated Anlec in search of the Moonbow and found him languishing in a apartment in the west tower of the palace. He had been blinded and kept where he could hear the torment of others but could also leave any time he wanted but 1001 souls would be killed by torture if he did. Eoloran remained, waiting to go to Mirai with his soul untainted but Alith could not bring himself to kill him. [3c]
