When a Dwarf expedition in search of riches entered the Pine Crag ravine, they were met by a storm of arrows from Wood Elves led by Lord Findul. Defiant, Grungni formed his force into a shieldwall and advanced upon the archers whilst Slayers charged at the elusive foe only to be led into the woodland and picked off indivdually. When the forest itself closed behind him, the remaining Dwarfs formed a square, all the time under heavy fire. ^[1a]

The last Dwarf standing was was Grungni, still roaring his hatred and surrounded by his dead kin until the Sisters of Twilight, Naestra & Arahan each sent an arrow into an eye, killing him. ^[1a]
