Baron Dieter Schmiedehammer is the Graf's Champion of Boris Todbringer of Middenheim. [1a]
Nobles of Middenheim used to keep champions to spare them the indignity of trial by combat but now the position of Graf's Champion is a purely honourary one. [1a]
Dieter’s goal in life is to marry his fiancée, Kirsten Jung, a Lady at the Court of the Graf and then plans to settle down as a blacksmith/ horse-trader, have a family, and live a comfortable but quiet life. [1a]

He is an obivous warrior with his broken nose and has auburn hair and green-hazel eyes. [1a]
