Erich Adolphus
Erich Adolphus was the Elector Count of Wissenland and a Reiksmarshall of the Empire during the Waaagh! Gorbad (1708-1712 IC). [1][2][3]
History
He lived during the Age of Three Emperors when the Empire was split and divided. Erich was considered the finest general of the Empire and defeated a pretender to the throne several times in 1702 IC. [1]
In 1707 IC Waaagh! Gorbad invaded The Empire through the Black Fire Pass. The massive Orc army defeated several Imperial armies, plundering and devastating southern Empire. After Nuln had been sacked, Count Erich joined forces with Elector Count Eldred to oppose the Orc horde. The ensuing Battle of Solland's Crown was an Orc victory and Count Eldred was slain personally by Gorbad, his Runefang taken by the Orc Warboss.[2][3]
Count Erich was dispatched by the Elected Emperor Sigismund IV to try and delay the horde of Gorbad Ironclaw which had ravaged the southern Empire and was now heading towards Altdorf itself. He led a cavalry force to engage them, resulting in the Battle of Grunberg where he wounded the Orc Warlord with his Runefang but in return the Orc tore out his arm. from its socket. Warriors from both armies dragged their leaders to safety. [1][2][3]
After the Orc had been defeated, the once prosperous Solland was left burnt wasteland and was afterwards annexed by Wissenland. [2][3]
