August Sternwachter
August Sternwachter is a Master Fence in Altdorf. [1]
History
He was born in 24724 IC to the von Murmelhausen family, minor nobility in Ostland whose land was seized by Emperor Luitpold for unknown reasons (although there were rumours of Daemonology) in 2491 IC. [1]
August fled to Altdorf as his family fell apart and took up a life of crime. Despite this he still had the bearing, education, and manners of a nobleman and so was able to become a middlemen between the criminal world and respectable society. As time progressed he became an associate of the Fish gang, helping to sell smuggled goods to reliably discrete merchants in the Neuesgeldt district. When the gang were at the height of their power, he proved himself especially useful as a cultured negotiator. [1]
However, after the Great Fog Riots of 2506 IC the Fish went into decline and August has to work hard to keep existing connections but also protect contacts from exposure to the racketeers among the Fish, at least until they choose a new leader and gain stability once more.[1]
