Ironfist

Ironfists are converted Imperial War Galleys mounting huge mortars in the Imperial Navy of the Empire. ^[1a]

They are designed to be used against coastal and river towns and cities, seldom venturing out to sea. Should they take part in a naval action, they are usually screened by other vessels as they are able to fire over the defending vessels. ^{[1a] [2]}

Although primarily a Empire warship, other nations also use them as they are extremely effective in any siege near a river. ^[2]

Notable

• Schmidt's Renegades: A squadron of Ironfists vanished whilst traveling to Araby in a convoy and who have been sighted in many locations from the Great Western Ocean to the Sea of Claws. The Emperor has offered many rewards for the head of their commander, Seigfried Schmidt. ^{[1a] [2]}
