History
In 2456 IC [2a] the town council and intellectuals managed events to force the young Elector Countess, Ludmilla Alptaum to grant them a charter freeing it from many taxes and allowing them to elect their own council for several decades. [1a]
In 2502 IC a crop disease devestated the local crops and food riots broke out. Unable to deal with it as they had only a tiny watch, the council appealed to Ludmilla for soliders to repress the rioters. Agreeing only to do so after they renounced their charter, she sent in her forces and restored order in a infamous bloodbath. [1a][2a]

- University and Medical School The middle and upper classes in particular are proud of their educational institutions, although it was purged of radicals when Ludmilla took back control of the town. [1a]
