Aldred van Carroburg
Aldred van Carroburg was a General of the Empire during the End Times. He was defeated by Nurglite forces in the Battle for Marienburg. [1a]
History
End Times
In 2525 IC General Aldred and his army, the Reikland Irregulars, were posted to patrol the lands near Marienburg, protecting the western Reik which displeased him greatly. He was further angered when Kurt Helborg ordered him to reinforce the city itself and his rage grew when he found that the remaining defenders had fled before he arrived.[1a]
Commanding around 200 men, the Irregulars were confronted by a horde of northmen with the Glottkin lumbering behind them. Ordering his men to form a line and hold, General Aldred executed a perfect Schwarzhelm Thrust on a champion, punching through his faceplate. The enemy did not die immediately, dragging the general's aid, Hensa with him. At first the line held, then the discipline and skill of the warriors of the Empire pushed the followers of Nurgle back towards the docks.[1b]
But the slime coated cobblestones meant that the imperial soldiers began to slip and slide, loosing coherency and leaving themselves open to attacks from the northmen. General Aldred fell with his men.[1b]
