History
It was founded in the early 2400s IC by villagers from Grimminhagen who were fed up with their Graf and his oppressive taxes. Although furious, Graf Sternhauer was certain they would be killed by the dangers within the Drakwald forest. [2a]
The village they founded survived and prospered, growing large enough to span the river and turn into a centre of local trade. [2a]
Storm of Chaos
A major battle took place as Archaon's forces attempted to cross the river and head south. [1a] The infamous Khazrak and his beastman horde attacked under the cover of night, breaching the walls and rampaging through the eastern half. They were stopped at the bridge by a valiant defence and more and more human and Dwarf soldiers were drawn into the defence as the nine day battle raged. [2a]
Although the beastmen were defeated the eastern half was destroyed and much of the west heavily damaged. [1a]
Following the defeat of Archaon, Count Boris Todbringer sent supplies to the town as a reward for their valour. [2a]
